Dr. Cameron Hernandez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geriatrics in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Health System. Dr. Hernandez completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent‘s Medical Center in Manhattan. He then completed his fellowship in Geriatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He was the Medical Director of Ambulatory Care at Mount Sinai Hospital where he was responsible for the clinical operations of 75 hospital-based practices. He was also the Associate Director of the Mount Sinai Visiting Doctors Program for seven years, the largest academic home-based primary care program in the country. In 2018, Dr. Hernandez became the Chief Medical Officer of Mount Sinai Queens before transitioning into his current role as the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Mount Sinai Queens in 2021.

Dr. Hernandez’s interests include assistive devices use in the elderly, hospital quality and safety,  practice improvement and hospital administration.
